Zebra & Tunnel Slots ~ Come Hike With Me!

Have you ever wanted to explore a slot canyon? Now is your chance. Join me as I hike to and into Zebra Slot and then hike to Tunnel Slot in Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Utah.

In this video, we will hike down a wash that cuts through eroded sandstone to Harris Wash, then into Zebra Slot. It’s only a short canyon, but it is stunning. Experience the ‘squeeze’ and watch another lady learning how to negotiate a narrow slot.

See the beautiful swirls and patterns in the sandstone, watch a snake slither and a lizard bob, and hear the echo of voices in the canyon, all from the safety of your home.

Zebra & Tunnel Slot - Grand Staircase Escalante NM, by A Nomad for Naturehttp://NomadforNature.wordpress.com

Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument is a truly stunning wilderness area located in Utah. It is one of the few places I (and others) can go and still find peace and quiet. However, it is currently under attack by big oil and the Trump administration. Please help to protect this precious monument by visiting this page: https://suwa.org/help-save-grand-staircase-escalante-national-monument/ Even if you can’t afford to donate to the cause you can still help by sharing the link and spreading the word.

It breaks my heart to think that one of my favorite refuges from society could soon be invaded by big, noisy trucks and be exploited instead of protected.
