Mostly just pictures for you to enjoy…
From Shore Acres State Park I continue south. I spent a night at Bastendorf Beach, which some had warned me away from and others had said it was okay. I wasn’t overly impressed with the area, there were a lot of campers that appeared to be truly homeless, mixed with weekend campers and a variety of van and bus dwellers. I think that perhaps it depends on who you might be sharing the area with on any given night, as to whether you feel comfortable there or not.
The next day I arrived at a friend’s house in Langlois, OR, and spent three nights in his driveway. While in the area I visited Cape Blanco. I thought some other spots I’d visited were windy, but this took the cake. I couldn’t even open my car door. Look at the waves in the image above, aren’t they surreal.
After visiting my friend, I headed south again. The images below were taken at Port Orford. The wind was blowing so hard that the sea-foam on the beach was literally flying through the air.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these images,
