As you can tell from the picture above, I’m no longer in the high desert of Utah. I’m in the Colorado mountains.
I managed to get a job in Colorado and started a few days ago. I’m so grateful my shift doesn’t start until 1:00 PM today because it was really hard getting out of bed this morning.
When I did pull my sleeping bag off my head and glanced at the thermometer outside, it read 20F ( – 6.6667 C). Brrrrr.
My car door was frozen shut, so I took care of my morning ablutions while in bed, AND in my sleeping bag, then crawled back inside the warm cocoon. When I did finally get up, I had to kick the door hard to break it free.
It is soooo beautiful, and I’m happy to have experienced what I hope is the last snow storm of the season.
I’m ready for my third spring of the year (I experienced two springtimes while in Utah). This is one of the many treats that one experiences when living the life of a nomad. It is possible to experience several different springtimes, each and every year if one chooses.
Until next time…
